What is the Harley Owner's Group®?

Harley-Davidson® established the Harley Owners Group® (also referred to as H.O.G.®) in 1983 in response to a growing desire by Harley® riders for an organized way to share their passion and show their pride. By 1985, 49 local chapters had sprouted around the country, with a total membership of 60,000.

Rapid growth continued into the 1990s, and in 1991 H.O.G.® officially went international, with the first official European H.O.G.® Rally in Cheltenham, England. Worldwide membership numbered 151,600, with 685 local chapters.

As the '90s continued, H.O.G.® hysteria spread into Asia, including new chapters in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By 1999, worldwide membership had hit the half-million mark, and the number of local chapters totaled 1,157. Today, more than a million members make H.O.G.® the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle organization in the world, and it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

What is a H.O.G.® Local Chapter?
A local chapter is a place where people from your local area who share your passion for Harley-Davidson® motorcycles can come together and share their passion for Harley-Davidson® motorcycles.  Every chapter is sponsored by a local Harley-Davidson® dealership and has its own way of sharing that passion by meeting together, riding together and most of all, having fun together.

 

What is the Minuteman Local Chapter?

The Minuteman Harley Owner's Group Chapter 2522 is a local chapter sponsored by Minuteman Harley-Davidson® and is located in Dartmouth Massachusetts.  Situated near the southern tip of Massachusetts, the Minuteman Chapter headquarters is surrounded by abundant scenic and historical riding opportunities to Plymouth, Boston, Cape Cod, the Berkshire and White Mountains, and, of course, the beautiful New England coastline.  This makes it easy for the chapter to maintain a full riding schedule, including Wednesday night ice cream rides, Friday night supper rides, the chapter picnic and the MDA Ride for Life.  Proceeds from charitable events go to the MDA, Special Olympics, and various local charities.  Minuteman also holds events such as an after-holidays party, cookouts, group rides, and off-season Friday night suppers. 

Where does the Minuteman Chapter Meet?
Chapter Meetings are held at the Andrews DaHill VFW Post on Park Street, New Bedford, MA at 7:00 PM.  Click here for a map.

Chapter meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month from May through October. Chapter meetings are held on the first Monday of each month from November through April. If a holiday falls on any of these days, the meeting is shifted to the following Monday.

How do I join the Minuteman Chapter?
To become a member of the Minuteman Harley Owner's Group Chapter you must meet the following criteria:
  1. You must be a member in good standing of the National Harley Owner's Group.

If you meet these criteria, then click on the form link below, print it out on your computer and bring that form and your National Harley Owner's Group card to the next Minuteman H.O.G ® meeting with your annual member's fee of $18.
